RevTek is excited to announce Greg Smith as our Senior Director for National Security Programs. He collaborates with the firm’s National Security, Defense and Intelligence Community clients, using over 25+ years of experience inside their customers’ organizations, their affiliates and ecosystem partners worldwide. Mr. Smith is a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Trusted Advisor among a broad number of domains associated with our Nation ‘s global security posture. He is known for his unique approaches to the complex problems created by new challenges while remaining an enthusiastic advocate for these organizations' missions.
His focus on both the tactical and strategic impact of solutions he has delivered is the result of years of hands-on field experience with key policy and technology innovators such as the US Department of State, Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and other US Government Agencies. In his own words, this critical work is founded on a passion for keeping his teams focused on the real impact of these solutions downrange, as well as the ways key technologies can drive better decisions and secure a greater margin of victory. Mr. Smith is well known for aligning diverse stakeholders into a coherent point of view (POV) and shared basis for defining success throughout their organizations, implementing multiple Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) to create collaboration among different departments, sector competitors, and even institutional rivals.
Mr. Smith has had the privilege to work with some of the top technology and policy innovators of the past two decades, citing his experiences from working with companies as diverse as General Dynamics, Boeing Aerospace, Northrup Grumman, Peraton, Amentum, AT&T, Verizon, Aramco, AT Kearney, PWC, IBM, HP Labs, Silicon Graphics, Nikon Imaging, Disney, MGM, and BP Group; as well as UK, EU, MENA, SWA, Continental Africa Latin American, and APJ Governments and Regional Industry Leaders.
During his 25 plus-year career and $450 BN in estimated programs’ value, Mr. Smith has continually been at the leading edge of new technologies including digital imagery, biometrics, data analytics, pattern recognition, cyber intelligence, and environmental security, while applying the latest tools and techniques of Machine Learning and AI to intricate real-world problems. In addition, Mr. Smith has been recognized for his ability to effectively translate complex concepts into an easy-to-understand common language, presenting innovative ideas in a way that clearly meets the needs of both executive and technical audiences. The result has been participation in some of the most significant transformation efforts of the last decades.
Mr. Smith studied Engineering and International Relations at Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, and advanced studies in Criminology, Sociology and Psychology at The American University in Washington, DC. He has also taken part in a wide variety of programs and exercises in the fields of cybersecurity; counterintelligence; narcotics, human, and small arms trafficking; and post conflict reconstruction, where he gained distinction for “out of the box” solutions to practical operational challenges facing our National Security interests world-wide.
